::::: National Siamese Cat Club :::::

There were nine Siamese kittens present and competing. The quality in class was very high and it was no surprise that breed ribbons were hung differently in every ring. The award for Best Siamese Kitten (based on breed wins in class) went to Ayuthaya Giselle, a seal point female bred by Susan Perkins. Giselle was sired by GC, RW Ayuthaya Amoroso of Thaifong and her dam is CH New Moon Miesque of Ayuthaya. Second Best Siamese Kitten went to Thaifong Pink Catillak of Ayuthaya (GC, RW Thaifong Amoroso of Thaifong x Thaifong Zazou of Ayuthaya), a lilac point female bred by Wayne/Pat Summers & Virginia Wheeldon and owned by V. Wheeldon & S. Perkins. Third Best Siamese Kitten went to Geishagoll Wichamaad of Zanbaia a blue point male bed by Connie Goller and owned by Helene Bergeron. Wichamaad was sired by GC Geishagoll Satori and his dam is CH Eireannach's Rathnait. Other kittens making breed wins and or finals were blue point male I Musici Galliard, bred and owned by Elaine Van Every, seal point female Shera Len Hi Intensity bred and owned by Betsy Arnold, blue point female Thaifong Paso Doble of Ayuthaya, seal point male Charjanie's Romeo and blue point male Charjanie's Hamlet. The latter two kittens were bred and owned by Carol Young.

There were eleven Siamese present and competing in the championship class - four of them grand champions. The awards for the Best Siamese in Championship and Best Seal Point went to GC, RW Thaifong Rio of Ayuthaya, a seal point male grand champion bred by Virginia Wheeldon and and co-owned by Virginia Wheeldon and Susan Perkins. Rio made all eight finals including a four best cats. His sire is GC Alexy's TL Tango of Thaifong and his dam is GC Fairydust Chocolate Cappuccino, DM. Second Best Siamese and Best Lilac Point went to GC Alexy's Angel Heart, a lilac point female bred by Dianne and Bruce Alexy. Angel's sire and dam are GC, RW Thaifong Tiamo of Alexy and CH Alexy's Miss Quito. Third Best Siamese in Championship (Best Chocolate Point) was CH Nepeta Tomodachi, a chocolate point male bred by Patricia S. Chapman of Missouri and owned by V. Wheeldon and S. Perkins. Tomo was sired by GC Mi-Wyn American Freedom of Nepeta and his dam is GC Nepeta Naughty Nelly. Best Blue Point was awarded to CH Shera Len Arianna (GC, RW Shera Len Cadbury x GC, RW Shera Len Ariel) bred and owned by Betsy Arnold.

The club also awards best champion in show, based on best champion ribbons awarded in class. This year the award went to went to Tomodachi who picked up six purple ribbons and made four finals. The Second Best Siamese Champion was Shera Len Aramis a blue point male sired by GC, RW Shera Len Cadbury and whose dam is GC, RW Shera Len Ariel. Aramis was best champion in two rings and made both finals.

Also finalling in championship was GC Shera Len Guylian, a chocolate point female bred and owned by Betsy Arnold. Guylian was sired by GC, RW Ayuthaya Amoroso of Thaifong and her dam is Shera Len

Anyone who has ever attended Betsy's traditional Saturday night buffet dinner party knows that the food is incredible. This year's chefs did not disappoint. The menu included various appetizers, roasted turkey, Chicken French, salmon with dill sauce, pasta with mean and sausages, assorted salads, veggies and breads and a variety of desserts. Great food was enjoyed by all, including some of the cats who helped with clean up (photos coming soon).
